no, really

there’s been a bit of chatter on the blogs about Obama’s first steps after he gets into office.

I’ve seen people say he’ll move to the middle because that’s the only way to get things done.
I’ve seen people say he won’t go after the guns because he doesn’t have the votes.

See, here’s the deal ladies and gents………

The ability to arm ourselves and fight oppression is the freedom that allows us to protect the other freedoms.

That is the first place to attack if your agenda involves ramming things down people’s throats “for their own good”. The 2nd Amendment is the primary focus for anyone who intends to do radical things such as forming a national security force, suspending the Bill of Rights, amending the Constitution or implementing mandatory volunteerism.

He has control of a HUGE portion of the media. No matter where he is or what he says, only a few people can actually see it or hear it in person and the rest of us are dependent on 2nd hand information being passed down by the media. We may not get any news until it’s too late for us to react. It certainly wouldn’t be surprising for them to announce one thing while doing another, and the media shows no inclination to do any investigative whistle blowing.

People are ALREADY being detained, arrested, searched and their possessions are being confiscated without committing a crime. Yes they are. Here in the USA. It is increasingly common for people in office to do as they see fit. In places the police and courts are ignoring their sworn duty to uphold the law and the constitution while they enforce censorship. People are being told where to walk, where to drive, what to buy and what to wear. Towns have neighborhood curfews.

Our legislature is charged by the constitution with policing it’s own members and we have LONG AGO passed the point where any transgression results in prosecution. These people are entrusted with protecting our most valuable possessions, our freedoms, and they are violating that trust DAILY.

Our tax dollars are going to pay big business pensions and vacations. We have an increasing government payroll. Corrupt politicians, lawyers, and corporate fat-cats are getting rich off the sweat of the working class.

I’m scared folks. I’m not scared of what he’s going to try to do; he told us what he wants to do. I’m scared this country is going to not stop him. I’m scared that more people will have to die fighting for freedoms and rights because voters have messed up priorities.

There is no place left to go. There is no ‘New World’ to sail off to and colonize. This is it. This is the last frontier for those who value freedom. Our backs are against the wall. No foreign government will step in to help us remove a dictator. There will be no outside help. We the people must win the struggle on our own soil. Here we fight.

  1. “People are ALREADY being detained, arrested, searched and their possessions are being confiscated without committing a crime. Yes they are. Here in the USA. In recent memory, this occurred under President Bush’s administration. Of the top of my head, I know it also occurred in the 40s under Roosevelt, in the 50s due to McCarthyism. I recognize your scared–and this is something we agree on, at least in principle–but do you have any other evidence to support this? I’m (for once) not saying this to be snarky. Your news sources are (probably) different than mine–and I haven’t heard about any new detentions.

  2. I guess that depends on your idea of ‘new’. I’ve seen quite a few here and there over the last 90 days or so. Most notable was the gentleman detained in a
Colorado hotel when the Dem convention was underway
I quit looking for more incidents really(which is why I didn’t include any links with the original rant); there were enough to get me upset about it and any number over 0 is intolerable. That sort of thing is like a forest fire; if you don’t stomp it out ASAP it will only grow out of control.
